Sacred Heart Radio, is seeking a full-time Promotions-Marketing director who will also have the opportunity to participate in Underwriting Sales.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1-2 years of PR, Marketing, or radio experience and ideally have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.

Entry level candidates will also be considered.

Successful candidates will be extremely organized, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and know how to multi-task and prioritize. Experience in event marketing is ideal. People skills are key – the position requires constant interaction with programming and sales, in addition to pastors and parish contacts.

The Promotions Director must be able to make decisions based on logic, common sense, and the overall mission of Sacred Heart Radio in keeping with the ethics of our programming.

Both positions of promotions and underwriting sales will require interacting with clients and listeners and must be able to meet the very different needs of each.

The Promotions Director will have the assistance of one part-time staff member, and the organizational skills to manage interns, volunteers and parish reps.

The Promotions Director reports and works closely with the General Manager and Director of Underwriting Sales.

Regular duties include: • Planning and executing “major” radio promotions like Parish Visits, Stickers Saturday’s and other annual events • Writing regular promotional proposals • Writing regular promotional recaps • Writing copy for the station Web site • Writing copy for Email blasts • Familiarity with using Social Media, like Facebook and Twitter • Understanding FCC rules and regulations when executing on-air promotions and underwriting copy parameters• Maintaining accurate and detailed calendars of upcoming events, and opportunities with new underwriting clients • Conducting weekly promo meetings • Presentations to the Board of Directors when necessary • Obtaining matching financial gifts and premiums for Membership Drives • Planning annual events like the Feast of the Sacred Heart Mass • Attending sales calls • Nights and weekends occasionally required.

In addition, Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and HTML • Adobe Photoshop, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
