May 2nd
Mt St Mary’ Seminary will present it’s annual Spring Concert with the Athenaeum Chorale and orchestra, Friday, May 2nd at 8pm in the Chapel of St Gregory the Great. The concert will include Joseph Haydns “Te Deum” and Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria” For information or tickets call 513-233-6138.

May 3rd
The St Bernadette Ensemble, the gospel trio Sowers of the Seed and others will perform in concert Saturday, May 3rd at St Bernadette Church in Amelia. Doors open at 6, the concert starts at 7, admission is free.  For directions or information call 513-753-5566.

May 6th

May 8th
On Thursday May 8th St Antoninus invites you for a May crowning and evening of music with Tatiana. Tatiana will perform selections from her new CD, Let it be, Mary’s Story. May 10th
The St Gertrude 20’s group is sponsoring a day of free activities to celebrate the Vigil of the Feast of Pentecost on Saturday, May 10th.  Festivities begin at noon.  There will be games, discussions, adoration, reconciliation and Mass.  For information visit Pentecostcelebration.org.

May 15-17th
The 40 hour Devotion and family campout, is set for the weekend of May 15-17th. May 17
Archbishop McNicholas High School will host its second annual Jam for Justice on Saturday, May 17, 7 p.m. – midnight in the McNicholas Courtyard. The theme of this year’s concert is “Think Globally, Act Locally.” For more information, call 513-231-3500.

May 18th
The 3rd Annual Family Rosary Rally will be held on Sunday, May 18th in the Elder High School Stadium beginning at 2pm.  This hour-long celebration will include music, recitation of the Holy Rosary and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.  For directions call 513-921-3744.

On Trinity Sunday, May 18th, the Choirs of St Bartholomew and St Michael Parishes join together to sing the praises of God in hymns, songs, poetry and scripture   The concert will be held at St Michael Church beginning at 7:30 pm.  For directions call 513-563-6377.

June 1st

June 9-12, 16-19
The Athenaeum of Ohio/Mount St. Mary’s Seminary is offering two courses in Catholic spirituality this summer. “Tapping the Riches of Biblical Spirituality” will be taught by Father Tim Schehr from June 9-12 and “Praying with the Saints” will be taught by Fr Rob Jack from June 16-19. June 13th
A Summer Retreat for men who are Professors, High School Teachers and Coaches will be held Fri June 13th thru the 15th at OLHSC in Norwood. The Spiritual Exercises will be the theme of the retreat.  For information or to register call Bob @ 513-871- 7167.

The 22nd annual Bible Institute will be held at Xavier University for nine days, from July 25th to Aug 2nd.  This year’s theme is “You will be clothed with power from on high”.  There are 20 daytime seminars covering a variety of spiritual topics.  The cost is a free will donation. Are you caring, full or part time for an adult family member? During March, a variety of free talks by professionals on care giving issues will be offered throughout the area by the Caregiver Assistance Network of Catholic Social Services. For information call the Caregiver Care line at 513- 929-4483.

OLHSC is offering an adult Bible study and a weekly pre-school program.  The adult bible study is based on Our Father’s Plan by Dr Scott Hahn.  Praying and playing will center on the Liturgical year appropriate for pre-school children. Meetings are Thursdays from 10-11am.  For information call 513-351-9800.

Start the New Year by helping the Caregiver Assistance Network to provide help for caregivers.  Volunteers are needed as support group facilitators throughout the area.  Training is provided.  For more information call Gene at 513-241-7745 ext 533.

RSVP is a new program of Catholic Social Services that provides those 55 and older the opportunity to apply their life experience to meeting community needs.  Activities include mentoring at-risk youth, tutoring elementary school children, teaching English to immigrants and lending your business skills.  To enroll as a volunteer or learn more about RSVP call 513-241-7745 or email to rsvp@cssdoorway.org.  (c-s-s-doorway.org)
